Important Notification for Pending CBSE Exams

Due to Covid – 19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, CBSE had postponed all the exams to be held after 19th March, 2020. The datesheet for these exams was declared by CBSE on 18th May, 2020.

Keeping the safety of all stakeholder in mind, CBSE in its notification dated 2nd June, 2020 has decided that:

  1. Examination would now be conducted in the respective schools of the candidates instead of examination centre already allotted.
  2. CBSE will allow change of examination centre in respect of candidates who have shifted and are residing in some other district in the country other than the place of their school.

Important Points:

  1. Examination with effect from 1.7.2020 to 15.7.2020 will be conducted in the respective schools of the candidates.
  2. In each district, where CBSE is having affiliated schools, one school will be fixed as Nodal Examination Centre for the candidates who have shifted from their earlier district of examination centre to another district in India.
  3. Eligibility for making request for change of examination centre:
  1. Regular Candidates:
  1. Students who were residing in Hostels
  2. Students sponsored by State Governments
  3. Students who have shifted from the district of their school to some other district within India
  1. Private Candidates:

Candidates who have shifted from their district of examination to some other district in India.

  1. Conditions:
  1. Change of Centre within the same district will  not be allowed
  2. NCT of Delhi will be considered as one district
  3. Change of examination centre will be allowed only in the district in which the applicant has shifted and in which CBSE has affiliated schools. If the student is presently residing in a district that does not have CBSE affiliated school, then an examination centre in neighbouring district will be allotted.
  4. Private Candidates (2nd Chance Compartment, Failures of previous year, Improvement of performance, Additional Subject, Female Candidates of NCT of Delhi, Visually Impaired Candidates) and Patrachar Vidyalaya Candidates who have not shifted from the district of their examination centre in India will be required to appear from the examination centre allotted to them where they have appeared upto 18th March, 2020.
  5. No examination will be conducted in containment zones. If a school falls in a containment zone as on date, students of these schools will be allotted examination centres outside the containment zone.
  6. No examination will be conducted for the students studying in CBSE affiliated schools outside India. Their result will be declared as per the assessment scheme to be decided by the board.
  7. Results in respect of the subjects for which no examination will be conducted, will also be declared as per assessment scheme to be decided by the board.
  8. In case of children with special needs availing the facility of scribe do not wish to appear in the forthcoming exam due to non-compliance of social distancing norms, their result will be declared as per the assessment scheme to be decided by the board.
  9. Last dates for any activity will not be changed under any circumstance.
  10. If a candidate opts for change of examination centre, no change will be allowed thereafter.
  11. Examination will not be re-conducted.
  1. How to Make Request:
  1. Regular Candidates:
  1. Request for change of centre will be accepted only through the school
  2. Schools have to inform CBSE about the candidates who are presently residing in some other district and wish to avail the facility of changing the examination centre.
  3. The ‘E-Pariksha’ portal will be used by schools to provide desired information.
  4. All requests will have to be uploaded on ‘E-Pariksha’ by the school in one lot only.
  5. Request in any other mode will not be entertained by the board.
  6. It’s the responsibility of the students to inform their own school about the fact that they have shifted to some other district in India and wish to appear for the examination from their present district.
  7. Students who have shifted to districts in which there is no CBSE affiliated school and intend to change the examination centre, will have to identify a suitable neighbouring district and inform their respective schools.
  8. The following districts do not have CBSE affiliated school hence no centre will be allotted here:
  9. Request for change of examination centre, sent directly to CBSE, will not be entertained.
  10. Students will be intimated about the change in examination centre by their own schools. They can also check the location of their examination centre using Mobile App.
  11. Students will have to carry a print out of the permission letter, old admit card and school identity card while going to appear for the examination.

  1. Private Candidate:

Candidates who have shifted from their district of examination centre to any other district in India can apply to CBSE on the link ‘Vyaktigat Parikshayen’ on the Board’s website or through Mobile App ‘Pariksha Suvidha’ for change of district of the examination centre.

  1. Candidates who have shifted from India to other Countries
  1. Candidates who were studying in India and have shifted to other countries can appear from any district in India
  2. They have to make a request to their respective schools.
  3. CBSE will not be conducting examination for such candidates outside India.
